DHL Express gets Top Employer certification for HR excellence
(MENAFN- Arab News) DHL Express has been awarded Top Employer certification for the first time in Saudi Arabia. This international distinction rewards quality in HR management.
Top Employer status is only handed to companies that demonstrate the highest standards of excellence in employee conditions. The Top Employers Institute which carries out the auditing reserved special praise for the DHL Express Saudi Arabia approach to talent management strategy training and skill development and corporate culture.
Geoff Walsh country manager at DHL Express Saudi Arabia commented: ''We are proud to have been awarded Top Employer certification. At DHL employee well-being is a key focus. This internationally-recognized certification testifies to the impeccable quality of our HR approach. It is essential to provide employees with the best working conditions.''
To receive Top Employer certification DHL Express Saudi Arabia HR management was examined in detail. Nine separate themes were addressed: talent management strategy work force planning employee integration training and skill development performance management leadership development career and succession management remuneration and benefits and corporate culture.
Following an independent audit ratings were given by comparing the investigation results with an international standard. Like DHL Express only employers reaching the required standard of excellence have been awarded certification.
DHL says it always encourages its employees to develop their potential through various training and development opportunities with the certified international specialist (CIS) program a key element of the HR strategy.
The aim of the program is to enhance employee knowledge of the changing international economic environment and the basic principles of international shipping to ensure that everyone regardless of their role within the company is in a position to advice and guide customers in their international exchanges.
It has been adapted to each area of the company including operations and customer service. A specific module on management leadership has also been rolled out.
