Abu Dhabi's electronics show opens


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The four-day Abu Dhabi Electronics Shopper will begin today, to display latest smartphones, tablets, digital cameras and other consumer electronics.

As a key highlight, the event will open pre-order for some of the latest and much awaited smartphone models, including Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, HTC one M9, Hisense King Kong. The event will also witness the exclusive launch of Nikon D7200 and D5500.

The organisers are expecting over 70,000 visitors to attend the four-day show.

Over thirty exhibitors have setup pavilions to showcase products and services related to information technology, consumer electronics, mobile technology, lifestyle and leisure, as well as gaming, home and office automation appliances, sports and medical equipment, security and control systems.

Recognised as a top destination for exclusive deals and bundled offers on a wide range of consumer products from leading brands, the show will host a series of promotional activities supported by major consumer brands such as Samsung, Nikon, Hisense, Huawei, Toshiba, HP, Quantum, Philips, and AOC.

The show will welcome visitors from 11:00am to 11:00pm every day from18 to 21 March at ADNEC. Ashish Panjabi, chief operating officer of Jacky's Retail LLC said his company will manage the Samsung brand stand and will display the latest products in all categories including smartphones, audio, video, tablets, printers, monitors, digital cameras, home appliances and accessories."

Narendra Menon, regional head, Sales and Marketing, Nikon Middle East and Africa said: "This year, Nikon has planned several stimulating competitions aiming to engage with customers at ADES. One of the competitions is a live fashion show that will crown 'Ms. Photogenic' and 'Mr. Photogenic' and award a D3300 to each winner. Nikon will also create a modelling portfolio for the winners.

"Nikon will also be holding a photography competition that will take place at a ramp where a few pre-registered participants will take photographs of the fashion show using Nikon cameras and lenses."
