Ajman University celebrates GCC Traffic Week 2015

(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The community service department at Ajman University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Emirates Driving Institute in Dubai, has organised a series of activities to mark GCC traffic week on campus.

The road safety awareness campaign seeks to enhance the safety of all individuals, including motorists and road users, under the slogan "Working Together to Reduce Traffic Accidents."

The activities revolved around the important role the seat-belt plays and how it can save drivers and passengers in case of an accident. The students, both male and female, experienced a 360 degree rollover in a car, performed under the supervision of experts and professionals. Seat-belts and their importance was practically experienced through this exercise.

More than 100 students took part in the event in which traffic rules and safety regulations were outlined. The main aim of holding this activity was to raise awareness of safe driving practices in the community and remind students of the importance of driving safely and highlighting any wrong practices that they should avoid.
