FIA Asia Holds annual derivatives conference in Dubai


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Attended by more than 200 market participants comprising representatives from global exchanges, broker members and traders from all over the world, Futures Industry Association, FIA, Asia, today held its annual derivatives conference in Dubai Held in conjunction with Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange, DGCX, and Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation, DCCC, the conference discussed the state of the derivatives industry in the current macro-environment. Exchange representatives discussed their strategies and why these are important to the trading community.

The conference, the second FIA event to be held in Dubai, also discussed vital topics such as central counter parties, new and existing product offerings, new developments in exchange coverage as well as the impact of regulations on product development.

Participants in the exchange traded derivatives market discussed why they choose certain products and how they are trading them. Panels at the event also saw discussions on trends such as the shift of price discovery from West to East, High Frequency Trading and why the Middle East is an ideal location for conducting business.
