Kuwait- Securitymen Arrest 2 Pimps, Twelve Prostitutes


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Officers from the Moral Guidance Department referred five girls and seven boys to the Public Prosecution after they were caught in a chalet at Khairan area, heavily intoxicated and partly naked. Security sources said the Director of Criminal Evidences Department t Major General Mahmoud Al- Tabakh received a tip-off that a group of boys and girls were holding night party in a chalet. A team of officers was assigned to follow up the information. The officers raided the chalet and recovered four bottles of imported liquor, and referred the suspects who were partly naked to the Public Prosecution. Meanwhile, security officers from Farwaniya raided a prostitution den in Jleeb Shuyoukh and nailed 10 expatriate women from different nationalities and a Bangladeshi pimp. Apparently, sponsors of the women have filed absconding cases against them and investigations revealed that they were trading in their flesh for KD 5 only. Also, the officers uncovered the pimp collected 50 percent of the proceeds in return for accommodation and protection.

2 prostitutes, pimp arrested: Personnel from the vice-squad affiliated to the Criminal Investigations Department recently raided an apartment at an unidentified location and took into custody a female Filipino pimp and two Arab prostitutes and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Shahed daily. A security source said police were tipped off about the activities of the pimp who conducted her business through the social networking website. She reportedly invited men seeking fun to her apartment - fun for KD 100 for one hour. The money was reportedly shared by the prostitutes and the pimp. Acting on this information, police sent an agent and the suspect reportedly agreed to offer him a woman. When the two prostitutes were presented to him, police moved in and arrested the trio.

Women steal abayas worth KD 750: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing 8 women wearing niqab of stealing abayas worth KD 750, reports Al-Anba daily. The complainant has provided police the video recording from a CCTV camera.

14 passports, stamps worth KD 600 stolen: An Arab representative of a company has filed a complaint with the Jahra Police Station accusing an unidentified person of breaking into his vehicle and stealing 14 passports of company employees and revenue stamps worth KD 600, reports Al-Anba daily. Police are looking for the suspect.

Citizen dies behind bars: An unidentified Kuwaiti died behind bars at the Salmiya Police Station, reports Al-Rai daily. The citizen was arrested in Salmiya because he did not carry his civil ID. Later police discovered the man had escaped from the Psychology Medicine Hospital. However, police were shocked when they found him lying on the floor of his cell and by the time the paramedics arrived it was too late.
