Iran's GDP expands 3.6 percent in 9M


(MENAFN) According to the Central Bank of Iran, the country's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 3.6 percent in the first nine months of the Iranian year, Tehran Times reported.

The country's GDP amounted to USD46.3 billion in the nine-month period. The head of Iran's Management and Planning Organization said earlier the country's GDP is forecast to grow 2.5 percent.

The Fifth Five-Year Economic Development Plan (2010-2015) expected a GDP growth of 8 percent, as the GDP grew 3 percent in 2010, but contracted 6.8 percent and 1.9 percent in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
