(MENAFN) Data showed that South Korea's imports of Iranian crude oil declined by 50 percent last month compared to the same period a year earlier, Arab News reported.
South Korea imported 557,174 tons of crude oil from Tehran in February, which equals 145,860 barrels per day (bpd), down from 1.1 million tons a year earlier, data showed.
The world's fifth-largest crude importer brought 830,800 tons, or 103,216 bpd of crude from the Persian country in the first two months of the year, below 2014's average of 125,000 bpd.
Iranian crude shipments in 2014 were 6.2 million tons, or 124,497 bpd, down 7.1 percent from the 2013 average of 134,000 bpd, according to the data and calculations in January.
