Deutsche Bank, investment firms buying GE financial unit in Australia


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Deutsche Bank, Germany's largest bank, and two investment firms are buying the consumer lending business of GECapital Australia and New Zealand for 8.2 billion Australian dollars (5.96 billion euros), the companies said Sunday.
The operations of the company, which has 3 million customers, will not be changed, said Deutsche Bank and the US-based investment firms Varde Partners and KKR.
US-based General Electric is focusing more on its industrial business and has sold off several of its financial subsidiaries.
