Chrysler to recall 14,046 defective units in China


(MENAFN) Chrysler announced recalling 14,046 of its 2014 and 2015 Jeep Cherokee SUVs in the Chinese mainland to fix a software defect that may airbags to deploy by mistake, Xinhua reported.

The recall includes vehicles manufactured between January 1, 2013 and November 19, 2014, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

Chrysler said the problem, affecting the side-curtain and seat-mounted side airbags, could lead to accidents. The company has assured to repair the fault free of charge.
