(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY March 3 (Agencies): The security authorities are collecting information through interrogations with relatives of Mohammed Emwazi that may help in investigations reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable security sources. The sources added the authorities have already got some information from the relatives that may help in the investigations particularly their contacts with the man throughout ''this'' period and since joining the Islamic State or the socalled DAESH.
The sources said the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has not yet been asked for help in this case. The sources added that CID will be ready to collect information reports and to what extent he helped his family financially when the department is asked to do so.
The source explained until now the issue is handled from a political point of view. The sources pointed the party which has been entrusted with the investigation is currently coordinating with other state organs such as Immigration Administration the Kuwait International Airport and the General Administration of Borders to get some information about the terrorist Mohammed Emwazi. Meanwhile the Al-Qabas daily visited the place where the father of the alleged terrorist Jassem Emwazi works as storekeeper in the Abdali Agricultural Society.
The daily said the father''s salary is KD 300 and reportedly pays an equivalent sum for his apartment in rent. He reportedly said he earns good money in the UK because he has a taxi company which serves the Kuwaiti and GCC citizens who visit the UK for tourism and for medical treatment.
The co-workers said his daughter''s name is Asma. She is an engineer and reportedly failed to become a member of the Kuwait Engineers Society. She also tried in vain to get a job in the public sector and now works for the private sector.
The colleagues also said the father is polite calm God fearing and moderate in his behavior and did not show any signs of extremism. Since last Saturday the father has not reported for work and is said to have asked for leave for an unspecified number of days. Sources said the name of his other son is Omar.
He lives in London but came to Kuwait on a visit visa and is poor in Arabic. But a Kuwaiti woman who answered the door said she had never heard of the family and insisted she had lived there for many years.
Yesterday it was revealed that Emwazi''s mother screamed out in shock when she realized that her son was Jihadi John after watching a beheading video. Other appalled relatives of Emwazi condemned his actions and said they would welcome his death. A Kuwaiti cousin who would not give his name said: ''We hate him. We hope he will be killed soon. This will be good news for our family.'' New tapes also revealed Tuesday that the killer told MI5 he was a ''moderate Muslim'' as he desperately tried to explain why he had been picked up in terror- plagued east Africa.
