GCC FMs conclude 134th session in Riyadh


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Thursday wrapped up their 134th meeting held in Riyadh.

The session, chaired by Qatari Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, sought to crystalize a unified GCC stance on the developments in Yemen, and the repercussions of Houthis' seizure of power.

Participants also discussed a host of regional and international issues of concern to the six-member bloc.

They addressed topics on the GCC march and followed up the implementation of resolutions by the last GCC Supreme Council as well as issues on strategic dialogues with other parties, and reports by the affiliated ministerial committees.

A press conference is due later today to shed more light on the Foreign Ministers' discussions.

Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah left Riyadh after the ministerial meeting was concluded.

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled was seen off at the Riyadh Air Base by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and officials from the embassy and the GCC Secretariat.
