Egypt's PM lauds Kuwait's supportive stances


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has commended Kuwait's supportive stances to his country, stressing the depth of historic relations between the two brotherly countries.

This came in an interview with Editor-in-Chief of the Kuwaiti Al-Khaleej newspaper Ahmad Ismail Behbehani here on Thursday.

Mahlab voiced his gratitude to the Kuwaiti leadership, government, and people, for their support of Egypt, said a press statement by the cabinet.

He also welcomed Behbehani for his participation in the Egypt Economic Development Conference to be hosted by the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh tomorrow.

During the meeting, Behbehani praised preparations for the conference.

Upon his arrival here late on Wednesday, Mahlab checked preparations for the conference and inspected works at the airport to follow up measures adopted to receive an unusual number of flights during the conference which runs for three days.

He empathized that the conference is a new start to attract fresh investments, noting a package of new laws is set to create favorable climate for foreign investments.
