Kuwait's Interior Minister leaves Algeria


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah left here on Thursday after he participated in the 32nd Meeting of the Arab Interior Ministers Council hosted by Algiers.

In a statement to KUNA, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled lauded the outcomes and recommendations of the meeting, underlining their importance in establishing security cooperation among the Arab countries and activating mechanisms of coordination and cooperation among security apparatuses to unify and develop the joint Arab common action. He also commended the recommendations that condemned strongly terrorism whatever its grounds and motives and denounced "the discourse of violence, fundamentalism and sectarian mobilization" as well as underlined the moderation of Islam.

Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled had discussed with a number of Arab Interior Ministers some security topics aimed at enhancing the unified Arab security as well as reports, recommendations and resolutions aimed at meeting the needs of Arab security apparatuses to face challenges.

The Kuwaiti official sent a cable to Algerian Interior Minister Al-Tayyeb Belaiz thanking him for efforts exerted to organize and prepare for the meeting.

Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled also voiced his gratitude to the Secretary General of Arab Interior Ministers Council Dr. Mohammad bin Ali Koman and all the staff for their continuous efforts to follow up the resolutions taken in the meeting.

Minister Mohammad Al-Khaled was seen off at the airport by Belaiz and Kuwait's Ambassador to Algeria Saud Faisal Al-Duwaish.
