Audi's revenue hit record of USD56.7b in 2014


(MENAFN) Audi AG, the Germany-based automaker giant, said its revenue reached more than USD56.7 billion for the first time ever in 2014, Xinhua reported.

The automaker sold 1,741,129 automobiles worldwide in 2014, an annual increase of 10.5 percent, surpassing its original unit-sales target of 1.7 million automobiles.

China was Audi's biggest market in the world, contributed sales of 578,932 cars bearing the four-ring brand in 2014, up 17.7 percent from the 2013 level, according to its announcement.

"We delivered more in 2014 than promised. After a very positive start to this year, we aim to achieve a new record for unit sales in 2015," Audi CEO said in a statement.
