Anatolia Energy (ASX:AEK) has appointed Cevat Er as its general manager to manage operational activities in Turkey including the plant optimisation study and the Sefaatli drilling program.

He has over 25 years of professional experience at various stages of mine project development in Turkey and around the world.

Er established SRK in Turkey in 2001 and has an excellent knowledge of local mining and environmental regulations which he utilised as general manager at Caldag Nickel Project.

He will also oversee the remaining Environmental Impact Assessment and permitting requirements at Temrezli.

“I am very pleased that Cevat Er has accepted our offer to join the Company. His knowledge and experience of the Turkish regulatory framework will be invaluable in permitting the Temrezli uranium project in 2015” managing director Paul Cronin said.

“We already have strong relationships with our regulators in Turkey and I have no doubt that Cevat’s appointment will strengthen those relationships.

“Cevat’s skill set will complement those of our COO Tom Young ensuring that Anatolia has a first class management team capable of permitting building and operating the Temrezli uranium project. ”

Anatolia’s Temrezli In-Situ Uranium Project in Turkey is a potential low cost producer within its peer group and will be advancing toward production within the next 12 months.

The recent Pre-Feasibility Study highlighted low costs – including an average cash operating cost of just US$16.89/lb high profit margins and project expenditure payback in just 11 months.
