US exports USD13.3b worth of goods to Iran in January


(MENAFN) According to the US Department of Commerce, the US exported USD13.3 million worth of goods to Iran in January 2015, a 1.5 percent rise from USD13.1 million on-month, Tehran Times reported.

The report showed that Iran was the 130th export destination of the US products in the month. The bilateral trade amounted to USD182.1 million last year, with 100 percent of the total related to US exports to Iran.

The figure showed 42 percent fall from USD315 million in 2013. Iran transacted non-oil goods with 177 countries in the past Iranian calendar year, ending March 20, 2014, Iran Customs Administration said.

Iran had the highest positive trade balance with Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Egypt and Azerbaijan, while it registered the highest negative trade balance with the UAE, South Korea, Switzerland, China and Germany.
