Saudi- 302 families reject girls after their conviction period


(MENAFN- Arab News) Thirty percent of the parents refuse to receive their daughters after their conviction period ends said Ebtisam Al-Dalaei directress of the girls' protection house and social hospitality in Jeddah.

She said their efforts succeeded in convincing 70 percent of the parents after the girls leave the protection house which followed up on the situations of these girls by phone calls and field visits to make sure their conditions are stable.

She commended the efforts made by the relevant bodies such as the Committee of Compassion so that the released girls can return to their families for the best interests of all parties concerned.

She underlined the cooperation of the civil society organizations and the government bodies in providing the necessary services to the house including charities private and government health facilities and hospitals call and guidance offices the Committee of Compassion The Human Rights Commission and Society the social insurance department Briman prison for women the social status department and the other bodies and agencies.

Al-Dalaei referred to a package of services offered to the girls including services of sheltering clothing food and guidance services and the other relevant services in addition to the educational health and rehabilitation services rendered by the government and non-government bodies.
