Iran's South Pars Gas Field to generate USD17m worth production


(MENAFN) South Pars Gas Field daily gas production increased by 33 percent since August 2013, and is set to help generate USD17 million for the country, according to managing director of Pars Special Energy Economic Zone (PSEEZ), Iran Daily reported.

The managing director added that revenues earned by PSEEZ from the export of gas condensates and non-oil commodities play a very important role in increasing gross domestic product.

The official noted that 30 petrochemical complexes will be established in the region, 12 of which have so far become operational, adding that about USD14.35 billion worth of goods have been exported from the zone during the period.

"The operation of South Pars Phase 12, located in Pars Kangan region, will help generate USD17 million for the country," the managing director added in the statement.
