Jordanian King to Start Working Visit to Brussels, Strasbourg


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Jordan's King Abdullah II will Sunday start a working visit to Brussels in Belgium, and Strasbourg in France for talks with European and NATO officials.
In Brussels, on the first leg of his tour, King Abdullah II will be meeting with senior Belgian officials for talks on ways to bolster ties between the two countries. He will also meet with Prime Minister Charles Michel for talks on ways to enhance ties. The King and Michel will also discuss the latest developments in the Middle East and the international arena.
While in Belgium, the King will also meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to discuss the forging of closer ties between Jordan and the NATO powers.
King Abdullah II will after that fly to France, where he will be delivering a keynote address at the headquarters of the European Union (EU) in Strasbourg. King Abdullah will highlight his vision on the main issues and challenges facing the Middle East, mainly the war against terrorism and efforts to bolster security and stability in the region.
The King will also meet with top officials of the EU for talks on ties between Jordan and the EU and the latest developments in the Middle East, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
