Kidnapped Malaysian Policeman Freed


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) A Malaysian policeman seized by suspected Philippine militants has been freed after nearly eight months in captivity, police and senior state officials said Saturday.
Marine police constable Zakiah Aliep, 26, was in good health when he arrived in Malaysia's eastern state of Sabah early Saturday, dpa quoted Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman as saying.
Sabah police chief Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman said Zakiah was released by his kidnappers Friday afternoon.
