(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Al Sadd Sports Club hosted 'Shooot' awareness programme, organised by the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior, in association with Qatar Police Sports Federation (QPSF).
About 45 children participated in activities in the sub-stadium of Al Sadd.
Col. Adil Ahmad Malullah, Assistant Chairman, QPSF, Captain Hassan Othman, former coach of the national team, and Captain Fathi Abdoun, Technical Manager of kids football team of the club were present.
Captain Othman praised the initiative and said physical fitness reinforced by a mind aware of its importance is necessary for a secure society and called for awareness campaigns in every walks of society.
Captain Abdoun said the initiative achieved its objective as children eagerly participated in the events.
The programme under the theme 'Through awareness achieve the goal', has been held in Lekhwiya Sports Club, Sailiya Sports Club, Qatar Sports Club, El Jaish, Al Gharafah.
It aims to raise awareness among children aged seven to 12 to promote a safe traffic culture through football with traffic signs and signals.
