China eyes 7 percent economic growth in 2015

(MENAFN) China, the world's second best economy, announced that it forecasts an economic growth of 7 percent in 2015 and that it is set to boost government spending, Saudi Gazette reported.

The Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China said that the country needs to fight corruption and pollution, and stressed the need for more painful reforms.

The Premier stressed China's most vital primacies such as pushing ahead with reforms of the giant state-owned enterprises that still bestride the economy, and moves to liberalize the banking system and financial markets.

"Deep-seated problems in the country's economic development are becoming more obvious. The difficulties we are facing this year could be bigger than last year," the Premier said in a statement.
