Saudi, South Korea consider trade expansion


(MENAFN) South Korean President announced that Korea and Saudi must try to diversify commercial cooperation with an emphasis on nuclear energy, renewable energy, education and health care, Arab News reported.

The female president hopes that Saudi and Korea would further solidify and motivate the development of the energy industry over the next 20 years.

Trade volume between the two nations surpassed USD45.31 billion in 2014 with Saudi exports to that country totaling about USD35.45 billion.

The Korean ambassador said that "a total of 12 agreements - both public and private sector - have been signed so far," including a joint study on water desalination, and further agreements in the construction and automobile industries.
