S. Korea's advisory firms' earnings double in 2014


(MENAFN) Investment advisory firms in South Korea registered a double-digit increase in their earnings in the April-December period of last year in increased returns from equity investments, Yonhap News reported.

The combined net profit of 158 local and foreign investment advisors reached USD48.8 million in the period, compared to USD22.9 million on-year, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) said.

These firms' earnings amounted to USD43.17 billion from securities investments over the nine-month period, up 74 percent from USD24.81 billion registered a year ago, FSS figures showed.
