Beat queues at Dubai's T3 with new GDRFA initiative

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Passengers will no longer have to wait in queues at the Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3, thanks to a unique system which will send travellers' details to passport control officers at the time of booking tickets. A spokesperson for Emirates, however, did not give a time-frame for the implementation of the project.

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), said the Dubai Airport requires efficient GDRFA services to handle the heavy load of passengers, which touched 71 million last year. Over 78 million people are expected to pass through the airport this year.
