Live Updates: Afghanistan win toss and choose to field against Australia
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Veteran allrounder Shane Watson was dropped from the Australian team Wednesday as Afghanistan won the toss and sent Australia in to bat in a World Cup Pool A match at the WACA ground.
Australia made two changes to the side that lost to co-host and Pool A leaders New Zealand by one wicket in Auckland. Fast bowler Pat Cummins, with a side strain, made way for Josh Hazelwood, while allrounder James Faulkner replaced Watson.
Afghanistan, which beat fellow Associates side Scotland by one wicket in Dunedin, made one change, replacing Gulbadin Naib with fellow opener Usman Ghani.
