Milan, China trade exchange hits USD11b in 2014


(MENAFN) The Milan Chamber of Commerce said trade exchange between Italian Lombardy region and China has posted positive figures, expecting further improvement, Xinhua reported.

Lombardy, with Milan as its capital, and China registered a trade exchange worth more than USD11 billion in the first three quarters of 2014, according to a statement from the chamber.

In the January-through-October period, exports from Lombardy to China increased by 7 percent, amounting to USD2.69 billion, half of which is in Milan, the chamber added.

Imports from China increased by 5 percent in the same period and especially targeted computer and telecommunication equipment, clothing, chemicals, machinery, iron and steel.
