Omani women staff perform well in customer service at DHL Oman


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Elham al Balushi one of the customer service staff in DHL Oman is an integral part of the team at the global shipping giant. 

She said 'When you have the opportunity to work at one of the largest international shipping companies in a department with a majority of talented Omani women it makes one proud to be a part of such an outstanding team. As a result you are motivated to be more dedicated towards your work owing to the company's reputation towards customer service excellence.'

Another member of the staff Aza al Shukaili thinks that Omani women are increasingly striving to make the most of every opportunity to better their careers. She also mentioned that joining DHL has helped her grow as a professional. She said 'The environment provided by the company motivates us to be more creative in our work and guarantees a better future for us while ensuring that DHL's customers benefit from the best customer service.'

Commenting on the fact that Omani women staff form about 70 per cent of total customer service staff in DHL Ali Thabet  general manager of DHL in the sultanate said 'Omani women contribute and achieve distinction in different aspects and departments of the company. However with regard to customer service we have to mention that they have put forth exemplary performances so much that our customers – be it individual or corporate make it a point to mention this to us. We are very proud of our in-house team and wish them all the success in bettering their careers.'

Regarding the training programme of customer service Thabet ensures that it is consistent in Oman as across all DHL branches around the world where new staff go through an extensive training programme for interacting with customers followed by practical training for the various computer applications they use at work. It's one of the main priorities of the company to develop its staff's skills believing that it will benefit the company and in turn the services provided to customers.
