Vimy Resources firms up understanding of uranium resource

Vimy Resources (ASX:VMY) has completed infill drilling at the Mulga Rock Uranium Project the Great Victoria Desert of Western Australia that has reaffirmed the company’s understanding of the Ambassador mineralisation.

The program is also key to completing the pre-feasibility study that is currently underway.

A total of 32 drill holes out of 181 returned intercepts of above 1000 ppm U3O8 including a peak of 2.5 metres at 6774ppm U3O8 from 38.5 metres.

The Mulga Rock Uranium Project is located about 240 kilometres east-northeast of the major mining centre of Kalgoorlie and is situated on two granted Mining Leases (ML39/1080 and ML39/1081).

It is split into two deposits; Mulga Rock East and Mulga Rock West.

The Mulga Rock East deposit is made up of the Princess and Ambassador Resources and the Mulga Rock West deposit comprises the Shogun and Emperor Resources.

Mulga Rock has a total resource of 59.2 million tonnes at 490ppm U3O8 or a contained resource of 63.5 million pounds of U3O8.
