Saudi- Business and Management Forum kicks off
(MENAFN- Arab News) The sixth Business and Management Forum has begun with the support of Eastern Province Gov. Prince Saud bin Naif. The three-day event will continue till March 5 at Sofitel Hotel in Alkhobar.
Abdullah bin Jalawi Al-Shaddadi head of the forum said that the sixth forum is titled "Leadership and its development in a changing environment" with the slogan "Toward renewed administrative leadership."
He said: "The forum is organized by NAMA Knowledge Group and the Journal of Business and Management in partnership with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development and the Saudi Management Association."
The event is organized after the positive success it has achieved in the previous editions" he said.
Al-Shaddadi said that the forum aims to highlight the importance of applying the concept of leadership and its development in a changing environment and display elements of administrative leadership and means to develop its modern fields.
The forum intends to specify the mechanisms and means to adapt and cope with environmental changes as well as develop administrative and leadership awareness in the community the official said.
"Moreover the forum highlights the importance of administrative and leadership excellence change development mechanisms of institutional transformation besides reviews environmental variables developing thought leadership practice with organizations and international-local leadership experiences to transfer the successful ones" Al-Shaddadi said.
The forum presents six themes: The elements of outstanding administrative leadership development of Saudi administrative leaders modern trends in the development of administrative leaders local regional and international changes and their impact on administrative leadership current and future leadership development and outstanding leadership experiences local Arab and international.
Nasser bin Ibrahim Al-Twaim chairman of Saudi Management Association stressed the importance of the forum to highlight the application of leadership development in line with current requirements rapid change and continuous improvement.
Al-Shaddadi and Al-Twaim has extended invitation to all government officials policy and decision-makers in government and private agencies and all interested in management development and all members of the Saudi Management Association to attend the forum.
