African Potash welcomes legal and Africa specialist to board


(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors) Barrister and Africa-focused entrepreneur Christopher Cleverly has been hired as a director at AIM-quoted potash firm African Potash (LON:AFPO).

He will combine corporate experience with regional expertise to help advance its Lac Dinga potash project in the Republic of Congo.

Cleverly 47 was called to the Bar in 1990 before founding Trafalgar Chambers establishing himself as the youngest head of chambers in the 20th Century.

Cleverly a regular presenter on TV and radio is also CEO of the 'Made in Africa Foundation' a UK non-profit organisation which provides first-stage funding for the feasibility studies and business development of large-scale infrastructure projects based in the region. 

African Potash chief Edward Marlow said: "During his illustrious legal and entrepreneurial career he has distinguished himself as an exceptional businessman and philanthropist and I am confident that his extensive experience in Africa will be highly valuable as we progress development of our Lac Dinga Potash project in the Republic of Congo."
