Iran, Brazil keen to expand trade exchange to USD2b


(MENAFN) A senior Iranian trade official said that Iran and Brazil are keen to expand trade bilateral exchange rate to at least USD2 billion annually, Iran Daily reported.

The Head of Iran-Brazil Chamber of Commerce said that the expansion of Iran-Brazilian trade to USD2 billion a year is attainable, the Fars News Agency reported.

The head called on the private sector from the two nations to play a more active role in trade interactions as this can raise bilateral trade to as much as USD500 million.

Currently, earnings from the export of hand-woven carpets to Brazil at over USD20 million a year. Iran has in recent years expanded ties with Latin America, particularly in economy and trade.
