(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors) Motive Television () has released its first update app for TabletTV in the UK.
The new version 2.0 has been submitted to the App store for review and is expected to be available in around a week.
The update adds several functions to TabletTV which allows tablet users to access TV without an Internet connection including one-touch-recording (OTR) Home Network and Social Networking the company said.
OTR adds flexibility to timings as users can interrupt programmes and watch them later while new Home Network feature allows the user to pair his TabletTV tuner with the home WiFi signal so both TV and internet can be received simultaneously.
Motive said the latest update was an "important milestone" and more were in preparation.
"Among the next updates will be the release of TabletTV Europe that will allow the use of TabletTV in continental Europe the addition of Chromecast capability to cast a programme to the main TV and the extension of TabletTV UK to Android devices" it said.
Chief executive Leonard M Fertig said: "With each step forward Motive's TabletTV is providing a more satisfying and valuable experience to our users in the United Kingdom and United States.
"We are proud of our progress and the degree of acceptance and 5-star ratings of TabletTV. With these additions we have created a unique product which will only get better in the weeks and months to come."
Last month Motive issued the first update for users in the USA.
