(MENAFN) The Bahrain side of the Bahraini-Russian Joint Business Council held its first meeting, under the chairmanship of BCCI Chairman, Saudi Gazette reported.
However, hailing the relations between Bahrain and Russia, the panel members proposed improving trade and investment between both sides, describing the current volume of trade, which amounts to USD138 million, as bellow aspirations.
The committee also proposed intensifying the exchange of delegations, and benefiting from the direct flights to Moscow offered by Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air.
Deputy Chairperson of the Bahraini side of the council was assigned to follow up on and monitor the work progress and accomplishments of the council.
