Chrysler to recall 14,213 Wrangler units in China

(MENAFN) According to China's top quality watchdog, US automaker giant Chrysler is set to recall 14,213 of its Wrangler vehicles in the Chinese mainland over fire risks, Xinhua reported.

The defective vehicles were produced between June 28 of 2010 and July 21 of 2014, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.

The automaker said the wiring for the vehicles' vanity mirror lights may rust and cause short circuits and fires. The company said it offers to repair the faulty parts free of charge under the recall starting March 2.
