IIRO kicks off 60 heart surgeries in Sudan


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The International Islamic Relief Organization Muslim (IIRO) of Muslim World League (MWL) started today a number of open-heart surgeries and cardiac catheterization for (60) children suffering from cardiac diseases in the city of Wad Madani in central Sudan.
These surgeries are being done under the supervision of Saudi specialists and volunteers with the IIRO in an effort to save children of the disease in many poor countries.
This was announced by head of the medical delegation, Dr. Ahmed Saeed Azhar in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
He further said that this medical campaign sent by the Organization to Sudan to conduct these operations will continue until the March 4th, 2015.
