(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The recently concluded MENA Insurance Awards 2015 saw Takaful Oman Insurance the sultanate's first full-fledged Islamic insurance (takaful) provider being bestowed with top honours in two categories.
Within a short span of time since its inception Takaful Oman has played a commendable role in the sultanate's Sharia'a-based insurance industry by introducing new products as well as a whole new way of delivering exceptional customer service.
Takaful Oman bagged the top honours in the 'Newcomer' and 'Market Trailblazer' categories which are both awarded regionally. The awards are given to service providers that have demonstrated exceptional customer service and innovative product development.
The 2015 winners were announced on January 28 at an awards ceremony held in Dubai. Attendees included many of the regional insurance heavyweights as the awards are amongst the most prestigious accolades in the region's insurance industry. The awards were judged by a panel of experts carefully chosen for their wealth of experience and expertise as well as their absence of conflicts of interest. Each entry was strictly scrutinised to arrive at the deserving winner a press release said.
On the occasion Sheikh Rashid al Saadi chairman of Takaful Oman Insurance said 'We are delighted to have won these accolades.
