Qatar- Jewellery, watches expo ends today


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The 12th Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition has attracted some of the world's iconic brands in the high-end jewellery and watch manufacturing industry.

Hosted by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), q.media Events and Fira Barcelona, the expo has witnessed luxury watch and jewellery brands showcasing their unique and limited edition pieces until today at Qatar National Convention Centre.

Hamad Al Abdan, Director of Exhibitions, QTA, said the expo has made a mark in the global arena by attracting a huge number of high-end exhibitors and elite fashion enthusiasts. "Qatar is a global hotspot for luxury. And the exhibition has achieved reputation in the international market. Top brands look forward to the event to reveal novelties and unique items in the region and worldwide. As organisers, we strive hard to deliver the best to foreign investors and visitors," he said. With over 500 brands participating, the expo has enthralled watch and jewellery collectors with their pieces and collections that cater to the diverse tastes of Qatari consumers.

Al Fardan has brought together over 60 global brands showcasing latest innovations and handcrafted jewellery at its stand. Highlights include Faberge's first iconic Eggs and objects d'art, an exceptional table clock collection by L'EPEE, House of Lalique's 'Sun of Gaia' collection, Chopard's L.U.C collection, Mellerio dits Meller high jewellery collection inspired by Marie de Médicis.

Another attraction at the stand is 'The Robert Wan Pearl Bar' that offers a personalised jewellery experience allowing customers to create unique, customised pieces.

The legacy of Al Majed Jewellery continues with high-end brands under its umbrella. Apart from the most famous Maisson Patek Philippe, A. Lange & Sohne, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Greubel Forsey and Parmigiani Fleurier, Hublot and Savelli lured clienteles with latest horological gems.

Savelli, the first luxury smartphone created and handcrafted in Switzerland as a precious piece of jewellery showcased its Jardin Secret collection that comprises 11 models. Ali Bin Ali stand featured brands like Cartier, Audemars Piguet, David Morris, Graff, Officine Panerai, Van Cleef & Arpels, Mont Blanc, Aaron Basha and Reuge, among others. Another attraction is the 'Social Media Contest' where visitors have a chance to win an iPad Mini daily by posting their picture on Instagram or Facebook. The picture with the most likes will take the prize.
