(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Feb. 25 (Petra)-The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Wednesday killed three men who tried to illegally enter the Kingdom a JAF statement said. The three infiltrators attempted to cross the border at 10:30pm despite JAF personnel warning shots to stop them from proceeding further but they did not comply. As a result JAF personnel had to apply the rules of engagement and shot dead the three infiltrators the statement explained. The military source stressed that the army would not be lenient toward any attempts to cross the Kingdom's border illegally to threaten its security. Meanwhile JAF official source yesterday also said it shot dead two border infiltrators at 6:30pm who tried to illegally cross into the Kingdom from Syria . JAF personnel fired warning shots to stop the two men but they did not comply the source explained. Border guards had to open fire against them instantly killing one and critically injuring the other who was taken to a field hospital and later died succumbing to his wounds the army statement added. //Petra//S Kh 26/2/2015 - 10:14:21 AM
