Jordan- FM UN official discuss cooperation regional developments


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman Feb. 26 (Petra)Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh and United Nations (UN) Special Representative for Iraq Nikolay Mladenov Thursday discussed cooperation between the Kingdom and the UN as well as latest developments in the region. Talks between the two officials also touched on the latest developments in Iraq and international efforts to support the country in its war against terrorism and terror groups. Judeh reiterated Jordan's full support to preserving the security and unity of Iraq and called for a political solution through dialogue. The two officials reviewed the international efforts to fight terrorism and extremism that threaten the region and the whole world. The UN official praised Jordan's pivotal role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II to bring about peace and stability in the region.
