The carrier logged a USD162 million profits in the six-month period to December 31, marking a sharp turnaround from a net loss of USD185 million registered in the same period of 2013.

Meanwhile, underlying profit before tax stood at USD289 million, compared to a loss of USD198.4 million registered previously, which was boosted by record fuel costs and fierce competition.
