One Turkish Dead, Another Injured in Kabul Suicide Attack
(MENAFN- QNA) One Turkish national was killed and another wounded when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a Turkish convoy in front of Iran's embassy in Kabul on Thursday, Afghani security officials said.
Lt. Gen. Ayub Salangi, deputy interior minister, told reporters at the scene that the attacker riding a Corolla car targeted two vehicles of Turkish nationals in the upscale Shahr-e-Now locality.
He confirmed one Turkish national died and another injured in the blast, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
Eye witnesses said the explosion was so powerful that it left one vehicle completely damaged and several people dead and wounded.
They said that other vehicles parked nearby were partially damaged. The intensity of the explosion left windowpanes of nearby houses and buildings smashed.
No group so far claimed credit for the attack.
