Saudi- Relief as thug who looted expats nabbed


(MENAFN- Arab News) A 30-year-old Saudi man has been arrested in Qassim for allegedly impersonating as a cop and looting expats said Maj. Badr Al-Saheebani spokesman of the region's police.

'He was involved in 31 looting cases and expats were his victims' he added.

The man used to approach people impersonating as a Passport and security officer or a municipality or labor official. 'He would ask his victims to show their resident permits and when they took out their wallets he would snatch them and run away' Al-Saheebani said.

He also embezzled people by offering them bogus business deals. He had amassed over SR100000 using various tricks and his victims were from Buraidah A-Rass Unaizah Bakiriya Badaie and Basar.
