Lebanon's Telecommunications Ministry sign USD6.4m loan agreement


(MENAFN) Lebanese Telecommunications Ministry signed a USD6.4 million loan agreement with World Bank to launch an NGO to train youths wishing to establish technology startups, The Daily Star reported.

The project nominated Mobile Internet Ecosystem Project is set to cost USD12.8 million and will be financed by the government in addition to the loan, according to reports.

"This project will provide Lebanese youths with new opportunities in addition to contributing to strengthening the national economy," Telecommunications Minister said in a statement.
