Saudi- 5 Indian workers die in Huraymila road accident


(MENAFN- Arab News) Five Indians were killed in a road accident on Monday in Huraymila town 97 km from Riyadh.

Among the dead were 4 foreigners from the south Indian state of Kerala and one from the north Indian state of Bihar.

The group of workers were returning from King Khaled International Airport to their camp in Huraymila after picking up their colleague Mohamed Salim 50 who had come back following his annual vacation.

The group was traveling on the Huraymila-Thadig route at the time of the collision.

According to a social worker from the Kerala community the accident had taken place when their car collided with another vehicle driven by a Saudi man. Rona Hayat Muhammed 44 the Indian driver of the car was also killed in the accident.

The four Keralites were identified as Mohammed Haneef 52 his wife Noor Jahan 49 Salim 50 and Shareef 50.

The police took the Saudi driver into their custody while the five bodies are being kept in the morgue of the Huraymala General Hospital.
