Iran's foodstuff and agro exports hit USD4.2b


(MENAFN) Iran exported foodstuff and agro worth USD4.2 billion, during the latest March-to-January period, boosting the country's non-oil exports, Iran Daily reported.

Foodstuff exports accounted for 15 percent of the country's total non-oil exports. The figure is set to be doubled once production regulations, sanctions, and obstacles to export are removed.

Milk and dairy products worth over USD474 million were exported in the period, marking 2.5 percent compared to a year earlier.

Exports of confectionary and chocolates amounted to USD737 million, marking a 13 percent increase when compared to the same period a year before.
