Kuwait parl't delegation heads to Singapore


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's seventh parliamentary friendship delegation, headed by MP Dr. Khalil Abdullah have headed to Singapore for an official visit.

The parliamentary delegation's visit aims at bolstering cooperation between Kuwaiti and Singaporean parliaments, finding ways to develop relations, reviewing the Singaporean "pioneering" experience in various developmental and economic areas, and encouraging exchange of expertise in legislative and regulatory fields, MP Abdullah said in a press statement prior to departure.

The visit is also part of efforts to reactivate the Kuwaiti parliament's diplomatic role, which completes Kuwait's efforts in deepening dialogue and communication with officials in Singapore regarding subjects of mutual interest, said the Kuwaiti MP.

During the visit, the Kuwaiti delegation is to hold discussions with senior Singaporean officials and parliamentarians, including Speaker Halimah Yacob and members of the parliamentary group between Singapore, Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, Abdullah said, adding that these meetings are to focus on bilateral parliamentary coordination in international arenas.

The Kuwaiti delegation is also to visit the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) to take a closer look at its achievements in the country's development and prosperity, in addition to conducting various field tours to a number of SBF's vital economic projects in order to benefit from them, said Abdullah.
