(MENAFN) The Three Gorges Navigation Administration said that China's Three Gorges project has seen stable growth in amount with over 10 million tons in January, up 13 percent on-year, Xinhua reported.
In 2014, the throughput of the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydropower project, reached a record high of 119 million tons with the passage of 44,458 vessels, up 12 percent over the same period a year ago.
The Three Gorges Power Plant generated 98.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2014, beating the world record for hydropower generation set by Brazil's Itaipu hydroelectric plant, the China Three Gorges Corporation said.
