Kuwaiti Emir arrives in Amman


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jabir Al Sabah arrived in Amman Monday on a visit, during which he will hold talks with His Majesty King Abdullah II on relations between the two countries as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.

Sheikh Al Sabah was accorded a ceremonial welcome as he arrived at the Marka Military Airport, where the King led top officials at a welcoming ceremony.

The two leaders reviewed a guard of honour as a brass band played the national anthems of the two countries prior to a 21-gun salute in honor of the Kuwaiti Emir.

Also welcoming the Kuwaiti Emir were HRH Prince Rashed Bin Al Hassan, the prime minister, the Senate president, the Lower House speaker, the president of the Judicial Council and the Royal Court chief along with the president of the Constitutional Court, the King's advisors, the director of the King's office, ministers as well as top civil and military officials.

Sheikh Al Sabah is accompanied by the first deputy prime minister and foreign minister, the deputy prime minister and interior minister, state minister for cabinet affairs, the director of the Emir's office, and other top civil and military officials.
