Energi Mega Produces Additional 300 BOPD MALACCA STRAIT BLOCK

JAKARTA February 23 2015 – PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (ENRG) reported that its oil block Malacca Strait PSC Block had produced additional 300 barrels of oil per day (BOPD).

Imam Agustino ENRG CEO said the additional oil production had marked the success of Malacca Strait Block in developing new oil field despite the quite old age.

“The additional production will have positive impact to the company’s financial performance” he said in an official statement Monday (2/23/2015).

The ENRG-coded company operates and owns around 60.49% portion of the Malacca Strait PSC Block in Riau. The remaining portions are owned by OOGC Malacca Ltd. (32.58%) and Malacca Petroleum Ltd. (6.93%).

Throughout January-December 2014 the Malacca Strait PSC block had produced 3201 BOPD and 62 million cubic feet of gas per day based on the calculation of 60.49% ownership portion.

Malacca Strait PSC Block is one of 12 oil and gas blocks as operated by the company. Based on the ownership portions the company’s total production in January-December 2014 reached 12800 barrels of oil per day and 226 million cubic feet of gas per day. Read more...
